Gather with your church family to share a soup supper and learn about how we will be the Church in the city. This week we welcome Rev. Rudy Rasmus, St. John's Methodist, Houston/Bread of Life.

The Church in the City lenten speaker series seeks to inform and encourage our parishioners to promote and participate in community engagement as part of their formation in Christ, how they see themselves in relation to God, and their calling as disciples. Each week we welcome a different speaker from the Houston area to discuss how their congregation has engaged the community and what impact their engagement has had on the community and their congregation. The talk will be preceded by a simple soup supper and followed by a small group discussion using the Church in the City study guide. Childcare is available for children through age 10 by emailing childcare@sjd.org.
