Women of Courage: Young and Old

Women and girls grade 4 – adult are invited to an inspiring talk, "Women of Courage: Young and Old" by Sharon Lundgren and to get to know about the Junior, Teen, and Senior Daughters of the King at The Church of St. John the Divine.

St. John the Divine
Sid Smith Chapel (L25)

Sharon Lundgren's talk, "Women of Courage: Young and Old" will focus on Miriam, sister of Moses, Queen Esther, the Virgin Mary, and the Woman at the Well. Each of these women in the Bible had the courage to change lives by their actions. They were guided by the Lord to act as they did, and their actions blessed us all.

About our Speaker

Sharon Lundgren has been a Daughter of the King for more than 40 years. She has served at every level of the Order: chapter president, diocesan president, province 7 president, and national president 2003 – 2006. She is grateful for all the opportunities the Lord has given her to serve. In 1991, Sharon had the vision to form a worship team called The Glory Bound Singers. The singers have led worship at all diocesan assemblies since 1991 and at all national triennials since 2000.

As national president, Sharon was able to travel to Jerusalem to plant the seeds of Daughters of the King at Christ Church, which then formed a chapter in 2011. Another blessing came in 2005 when she was able to send two Daughters to Cuba to plant five Daughters of the King chapters. What a joy!

Sharon has written a book on her spiritual journey, "Revive Us Again", which is available on Amazon. In it, she highlights all the Lord has done for her and her family in the years she has been a Daughter of the King.

Sharon looks forward to speaking to Daughters when invited and is delighted to be with the women and girls of St. John the Divine in September.
