Lifting the Veil

Inspired by his recent trip to the Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, Summer School, SJD parishioner Rob Blain created this six-week study based on poet, priest, and inspirational author Malcom Guite’s book Lifting the Veil: Imagination and the Kingdom of God. Using Guite’s book and the Bible, this class will explore how Jesus’s teachings appeal to our imagination through the parables, the paradoxes of the gospel, and more, and how the Bible sparked the creative work of poets and other artists to “lift the veil” and kindle our imagination for Christ.
