Holy Baptism at St. John the Divine
Holy Baptism is the sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ’s body, the Church, and inheritors of the Kingdom of God. Baptism has been a foundation for the Christian life since Christianity first began and it has been a pivotal event in the lives of families and individuals at St. John the Divine for over 75 years.
Baptisms are conducted at Sunday worship services on or near the feast days of Easter, Pentecost, All Saints' Day, and the feast of the Baptism of our Lord (the first Sunday after Epiphany). On Easter Sunday, baptisms will be held only during the 6 am Easter Vigil.

Upcoming Baptism Dates
New parents must attend the baptism class for parents before their child’s baptism. The class will be held in the church at 10:15 am on two consecutive Sundays prior to the baptism date.
