Montessori education for ages 18 months to 6 years
As Maria Montessori stated, “The greatest gifts we can give our children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence.” Here at First Steps, we utilize the Montessori Method to provide a personalized education that meets each child’s physical, emotional, and social needs. With the careful creation of a safe and nurturing environment and developmentally appropriate materials, your children can grow surrounded by the love of God and fulfill the potential that is given to them.
At First Steps Montessori School, a ministry of St. John the Divine, we role model and teach respect for ourselves, others, and the environment. We want to ensure that each child has a positive experience in school, thus cultivating the natural desire to learn. Our classrooms allow the children choices of activities as we foster windows of opportunities for the children to discover and ask questions. The children gain self-esteem and confidence as they grow and move through our program.
These early years are precious and vital. Enjoy this time with your child and share in the experience. Again, welcome to First Steps Montessori School, we look forward to all the possibilities to come!
