Our youth programs equip students in grades 6 – 12 for a life of faith.
We give our students the opportunity to authentically grow in the Christian faith and mission while nurturing their development and maturity as individuals and in community. We help our students take ownership of their faith and give them the freedom to wrestle with their questions in a safe environment.

Youth Sunday School
Sundays — 10:15 am
All middle and high school students are invited to gather for Sunday school
Middle School - Room 238
Led by parishioners Calvin and Kathy Harris. We discuss hard questions about God, the Bible, the church, and more.
High School - Chapel
The Rev. Sutton Lowe leads a study on Christ in culture.
Youth Mission Trips
Costa Rica- This summer our High School Youth are going on a mission to Costa Rica. We are partnering with Diocese of Costa Rica. The trip is June 21- 29. Cost is $2200 and the trip is open to all current high school students.
Blueprint - All youth are invited to San Antionio June 15-20 to partner with Blueprint Ministries. The cost is $550.

Every Wednesday, the SJD Youth will share a meal, play games, and worship together. All 6th - 12th graders are welcome! We will meet downstairs for dinner before going upstairs to the Youth Room.

All high school students are invited to a weekend retreat at Camp Cho-Yeh from March 28 to 30. Our theme for this year is Truly Free. This will be a time to get away from the stress, learn about our freedom in Christ, and enjoy the camp activities as a community. We will leave the church Friday at 5:30 pm and return Sunday at 11 am. Cost: $250. Register by March 16.

Confirmation is a time milestone in a young person’s faith. In The Episcopal Church, we practice infant baptism and allow students to renew their baptismal vowels when they get older; this is done during Confirmation. Bishop C. Andrew Doyle, Bishop of Texas will lead this year's Confirmation ceremony.
