Our youth programs equip students in grades 6 – 12 for a life of faith.
We give our students the opportunity to authentically grow in the Christian faith and mission while nurturing their development and maturity as individuals and in community. We help our students take ownership of their faith and give them the freedom to wrestle with their questions in a safe environment.

All middle and high schooler students are invited to gather together for Sunday school on Sunday mornings! We will spend our time playing games, enjoying fellowship, and participating in Bible study.
Dan was born and raised a "west coaster" before coming to Houston and SJD in 2016. He has been in vocational ministry to youth and families since 1995 and is still young at heart. Dan has surfed on every continent except Antarctica. Dan and his wife Kimberly, a flight attendant for United Airlines, have an 8-year-old son who has been on 208 flights as of the writing of this bio.
Emma is currently studying for a Masters in Youth Ministry. When she's not hanging out with SJD youth, she likes to take her dog to the park and go camping.

Confirmation is a time milestone in a young person’s faith. Here in the Episcopal Church we practice infant baptism, and allow students to renew their baptismal vowels when they get older, this is done during Confirmation. This year’s Confirmation ceremony will be led by Bishop Jeff W. Fisher.
