St. John the Divine is closed today in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Due to the impending winter storm, the building will also be closed on Tuesday, January 21. Depending on the severity of the weather, the campus may remain closed on Wednesday morning. We will monitor conditions closely and provide updates here.
Gather: We are a community where members are led into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Grow: We are a community shaped by lifelong friendships and commitment to making disciples of Jesus.
Go: We are a community where members are equipped and empowered to be missionaries in their neighborhoods, the city, and the world.
Founded in 1939, The Church of St. John the Divine is a vibrant congregation dedicated to Changing Lives for God in Christ. This mission supports who we are today and where we are going in the future. We are part of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas within the Episcopal Church and we proudly join other churches in tradition, liturgy, history, and fellowship in the worldwide Anglican Communion.
Our core beliefs align with the Outline of Faith or catechism found in The Book of Common Prayer, a worship book used throughout the Episcopal Church.
