More than a bed!

I remember my first night in that bed, feeling so overwhelmed with gratefulness and peace. I slept better than I could ever remember before, and I felt myself gaining more confidence and feeling more hopeful about life going forward.
A bed is a basic need for the physical, emotional, and mental support a child requires. Giving a bed to a child is so much more than a physical change. It affects them emotionally and mentally in ways far beyond that - giving them hope for a better future.
8 am – 12:30 pm: Bed Building
10 am – 2:30 pm: Bed delivery and setup
You will be provided with tools, training, and bed components to load into your vehicle and deliver to a family. Drivers need at least 2 helpers, or more if delivering 3 or more beds. Tasks include pickup, transport, setup, and return of the tool bag. Open loads may need straps and tie-downs. Closed-toe shoes are a must; bring gloves and glasses if wanted.

Sat, April 11: Meet in the Westheimer parking lot to set up (8:30 am) and turn lumber into bunks (9 am – 12:30 pm). We’ll teach you everything you need to know. Childcare available! We also need folks to deliver and set up the beds from 10 am - 2:30 pm!

Donate as you like. Each complete bed costs $250 (includes bedding), a mattress is $100, and lumber for one bed is $115.
