The Joy of Christmas with your Young Family
Christmas for Families
Enjoy Christmas Eve services designed with families and children in mind
Your family can choose from two different family services:
- Awesome Worship at 11 am in the Hall Life Center with band and children's message
- Traditional Service for Families at 3 pm in the Church with children's choir and a children’s message.
Children are invited to come to these services in their own Christmas costumes or dress up in our costume accessories available before the services.
Awesome Worship for Families
11 am
This service made specially for families with young children meets in the Hall Life Center. Music is provided by the SJD Worship Band and the service includes a children's sermon and child-friendly service elements. Nursery and childcare are available.
Traditional Service for Families
3 pm
This service is a traditional worship service in the Church with a child-friendly sermon and music led by St. John the Divine's Children and Youth Choirs. Nursery and childcare are available and the service will be livestreamed.
After the Service
We invite you to stay after the service to enjoy refreshments with your church family and don’t forget to drop into Sumners Hall to see the lovely Christmas Village.
