St. John the Divine is closed today in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Due to the impending winter storm, the building will also be closed on Tuesday, January 21. Depending on the severity of the weather, the campus may remain closed on Wednesday morning. We will monitor conditions closely and provide updates here.
Lord of the Streets will serve as an overnight warming shelter for our homeless neighbors living on the street. Overnight volunteers and donations are needed Sunday-Wednesday, January 19-22.
This coming Sunday-Wednesday, January 19-22, Lord of the Streets will serve as an overnight warming shelter for our homeless neighbors living on the street, as temperatures will be below freezing. Security will be present to keep all safe, and we will serve breakfast in the morning (as we do every weekday for 400 people). We’ll be open from 9:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. and can shelter 10 people. Lord of the Streets' vicar, the Rev. Brad Sullivan will be present each night as well.
