Meeting needs above and beyond the operating budget
The St. John the Divine Memorial Endowment Fund (MEF) was established in 1946 through the foresight of the Rev. Thomas Sumners. Your gift to the MEF provides financial support for the church to meet needs and fund projects that cannot be met by the general operating budget.
Throughout its existence the St. John the Divine Memorial Endowment Fund has provided financial support during emergencies (such as Hurricane Ike), helped fund facility enhancements (including the purchase of a generator, cooling tower, and campus signage), paid for the remodel of our Youth Rooms and Hall Life Center, and supported technology upgrades, such as a new system of security cameras, an enhanced wireless network system, and this new website! It has also assisted in special charitable and educational activities and has been a source of ready capital enabling the church to take advantage of unexpected strategic opportunities.
