The GEMS (Gaining Empowerment in Middle School) program breaks the cycle of intergenerational incarceration. They teach middle school-aged children the coping skills to overcome their experiences. We help them find their inner strength and unlock their future potential. Studies show that adult role models can help students discover the gifts they bring to the world. GEMS works to provide those role models, because they know it takes a community to help a child grow into a healthy adult.
