How to be Spiritual: Explorations in Christian Spirituality and Practice
February 22, March 1, 8, 15, 22
10:30 am - 11 am in Room 201
It is common to hear someone describe themselves as “spiritual but not religious.” We live in what’s often called a “post-secular” time—one marked by spiritual longing, a hunger for meaning, and a desire for transcendence and wholeness. Yet, the suspicion of institutions, authority, and tradition has led many away from the historical faith of the Church, even though the Christian tradition has always taken these longings seriously. Rather than an expression of a self-constructed quest, Christian spirituality is a way of life received—life in Christ.
If you’re just curious or wanting to grow in your faith, join us as we explore the Scriptures and the tradition to see how time-tested practices do not so much stifle as give a home to a life that is genuinely spiritual.
