Advent: The Witness of Waiting
Sundays, December 8 – 22
10:15 am in the Hall Life Center with breakout group discussion
The coming of Jesus meant an end to a long wait for the people of God. Over the centuries, Christians have taken to heart the words of those who witnessed Jesus' coming: his Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Zechariah, and two devout strangers, Simeon and Anna.
In our Advent study, Dr. Kira Moolman Pettit and the Rev. Sutton Lowe will dig into the words and the witness of these ordinary saints, folks who were given the gift of seeing their hope fulfilled in the birth of Jesus. Each week will feature conversation, music offerings from our talented staff and parish musicians, and small group discussion.
