Children's Summer Sunday School

Sundays — 10:15 am

Children's Summer Sunday School
June 2 - August 18, 2024

We are focused on supporting every family, every parent, and every child. We want to partner with parents to help nurture their child’s faith. Our team of caring volunteers introduces children 5th grade and younger to Jesus Christ, plants the seed of God’s Word into their hearts, models the love of Jesus, and nurtures and shepherds them into a lasting relationship with God.

Nursery: 8:30 am — 12:30 pm

  • 2 months thru age 2 — Room 120
Sunday School: 10:15 — 11:10 am
  • 2-year-olds — Room 113
  • 3-year-olds thru Kindergarten — Room 115
  • 1st thru 5th grade — Scout Room

You may register your child before their first visit to the nursery or Sunday school or register at check-in on Sunday morning.  We ask that you please register for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in advance.

Nursery 8:30 am – 12: 30 pm
Your little ones will be safe and cared for in our nursery on Sunday mornings while parents attend Sunday School and/or worship services. Register in advance or just check in on Sunday morning.

Pre-School (Ages 2 – 4) 10:15 am
Our young children will have time to play, sing songs, and listen to a Bible story each week. We want your young child to discover that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Register (link) ahead of time, or just check in Sunday morning.

Elementary (Kindergarten – Grade 5) 10:15 am
Elementary Sunday school prepares your child to make wise choices, build strong relationships, and develop deep faith. Sunday school includes games, fun music, stories, and small group time. Register in advance, or just check in on Sunday morning.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Age 3 – Grade 3) 10:15 am
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based approach to the spiritual formation of young children rooted in the Bible and liturgy of the Church. Classes for ages 3 – Kindergarten and grades 1 – 3 are available. Please register in advance.

We are still in need of parent assistants in our classrooms. We require a minimum of 2 adults per class (sometimes more) to be in compliance with The Episcopal Diocese of Texas’ Policies for Children and Youth. Along with the faith formation of families, we make the safety of children in our care a top priority.

We could not do any of this without you! If you would like to serve in your child’s classroom 1-2 times this semester, we would love that! If you prefer to serve in another age group, we would also love that! Please check out the opportunities below to help us staff our programming this fall:
