Gather outside the Chapel doors for the Blessing of the Palms, then process into the Chapel for the reading of the Passion and traditional worship.

9 am in the Church
Traditional Worship

Gather on the front lawn at 8:45 am for the Blessing of the Palms, followed by a festive procession into the Church led by a donkey. The church service includes a dramatic reading of the Passion. Music by the Choir of St. John the Divine and organ. This service will be live-streamed.

9:15 am in the Hall Life Center
Awesome Worship

Awesome Worship is a special service designed for children ages 3 through 3rd grade and their families, with service elements tailored for younger children. Children will be invited to follow a donkey in a Palm Sunday procession before the Gospel reading. Music is led by the SJD Worship Band.

Jesus Descends: Special Palm Sunday Lecture

Join Dr. Kira Moolman Pettit for a special half-hour lecture on this theme of Jesus’ descent, the debates around what is called “the harrowing of hell,” and how this can help prepare us for Holy Week and the rest of our lives!

Modern Worship

Gather on the front lawn at 11 am. Following the Blessing of the Palms on the lawn, join the joyful procession into the Hall Life Center. The dramatic reading of the Passion is followed by a sermon and communion. Music by the SJD Worship Band. This service will be live-streamed.
