Pickleball Lessons: Beginners

Whether you're picking up a paddle for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, join long-time pickleball enthusiast and former instructor Eugene Leong for this fun, hands-on series. With eight years of teaching experience, Eugene will help players build confidence, improve technique, and enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Cost: $25 per two-session series. Limited to 10 players per series.

Beginners

  • Target Student: 1.0-2.5
  • Class Goals and Skills Learned: New players (no prior experience needed). Rules of the game, scoring, serves, returns, and basic strokes. Eye-hand coordination drills

Advanced Beginners

  • Target Student: 2.5-3.0
  • Class Goals and Skills Learned: Improving consistency, reducing unforced errors, longer rallies, ready position, developing quick hands, footwork, court positioning

Intermediate

  • Target Student: 3.5-4.0
  • Class Goals and Skills Learned: Basic strategy, dinking skills, 3rd shot drop, resets, anticipation skills, defending the transition zone. Learning and defending speedups.

Intermediate Doubles

  • Target Student: 3.0-4.0+
  • Class Goals and Skills Learned: Improving doubles play, understanding roles and strategy. Learning banding, tracking, shading, and stacking. Improved partner communication, positioning, poaching, and better teamwork.
