Snack Shack Mondays at The Church of St. John the Divine

Snack Shack Mondays are taking a summer break!

Thank you to the many volunteers who helped us welcome and serve Lamar High School students throughout the 2025–2026 school year. Through simple acts of hospitality, we had the opportunity to build relationships, share kindness, and remind students that they are valued and loved.

During the 2025–2026 school year, more than 5,000 student visits were recorded at Snack Shack Mondays. Supported by 63 dedicated St. John the Divine volunteers, this ministry continues to create meaningful connections with students and families in our neighborhood.

Snack Shack Mondays will resume on Monday, August 24, 2026, when HISD returns for the new school year.

Beginning August 24, St. John the Divine will once again welcome Lamar High School students each Monday afternoon for a free snack, a friendly smile, and a place where they know they belong.

Whether we're serving popcorn, hot chocolate, snow cones, or another favorite treat, our goal remains the same: to create a welcoming space where students feel seen, supported, and encouraged.
