by The Rev. Dr. R. Leigh Spruill
I am pleased to announce that Susalee and I will be leading an “Anglican Roots Pilgrimage” to Great Britain in July of 2024, tracing the church’s early days in Great Britain as well as the English Reformation. We will visit sacred places that bore witness to Christian saints, Protestant martyrs, and significant events in Anglican church history. The pilgrimage will include St. Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey in London, Windsor Castle, Oxford, Salisbury, Winchester, Canterbury, and Cambridge. The dates for this tour are July 11-23, 2024.
Our pilgrimage will run parallel to the much-anticipated SJD Choir Residency that month at Salisbury Cathedral. We will intersect with this trip toward the end of our tour and will enjoy the opportunity to worship with our own choir both at Salisbury Cathedral and at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on our final night.
We thank you for considering this exciting opportunity. Much thought and care are going into planning our itinerary, and Susalee and I are eagerly looking forward to this pilgrimage next year. Please let us know of your interest.
