As we come to the close of a meaningful summer, we want to offer our deepest thanks to all who participated in our 2025 Summer Outreach Drives through the SJD Go Outreach Ministry. Your compassion and commitment have been a shining light in our city and beyond.
This summer, your support made a powerful impact through three key initiatives:
First Responders in Kerr County Supply Drive
- Collected 720 fruit pouches, 560 beef sticks,
- 92 protein bars, 386 electrolyte packs, 840 body wipes,
- 36 cans of sunscreen, 14 face sunscreens,
- 17 sunburn gels, 10 shovels, 3 chainsaws,
- 36 two-way radios, and 15 extension cords.
Houston reVision Back to School Supply Drive
- Collected 554 granola bars, 288 ramen soups,
- 56 mac & cheese cups, 20 applesauce packs,
- 10 oatmeal cups, 20 grits, 156 pairs of socks,
- 62 shirts, 4 belts, and 36 backpacks
Soles4Souls Shoe Drive
- Collected 650 pairs of shoes
Because of your generosity, our local first responders received much-needed encouragement and supplies, underserved students in Houston are starting the school year with the tools they need to succeed, and gently worn shoes were given new purpose to serve people across the globe.
Through your involvement, you’ve embodied what it means to “Go” and be a light for the city—living out our calling to serve with love and humility. These acts of service are not only changing lives but also reflecting the heart of Christ to the world around us.
