VBS: It's About Relationships

by

A Week to Focus on Jesus

It’s common to see summer camps specialize in something. As parents, we often utilize summer camp to allow our kids to focus for a week camp on a special interest or something where they might need improvement. It’s a special time to be more intentional about meaningful things. We might choose a science camp, a math camp, a football camp, a soccer camp, an acting camp, or a music camp. Vacation Bible School is no different. It's a week where we focus intensely on Jesus and build relationships.

At VBS, we get to focus on relationships for a week in a way that is fun and meaningful. We’re with the kids for 12 hours over the course of the week building the muscle of relationally connecting with God and one another.

VBS Leadership Is About Formation

VBS leaders are growing and are formed alongside the children. It doesn't matter how old you are. The Bible stories and points that underpin VBS speak to all of us on our faith walk. There is also something special about experiencing faith through a child’s eyes as you have freedom and fun in church together. You don’t want to miss that.

Start the Party at the VBS Kickoff Party!

Everyone is invited to attend our Kick-Off Party this Sunday, July 28.  At 9:15 am, get a VBS preview at Awesome Worship, see the big stage, and worship with our band and VBS dancers.

Jenna Kuykendall will share the message from Matthew’s Party (Luke 5:27-32) and teach kids that Jesus is good reason to have a party! The celebration will continue in Sumners Hall with cupcakes and ice cream, face painters and balloon artists, disco dancing, and more!

Bring 8 oz water bottles or 100% fruit juice boxes to support one of our VBS mission partners, Kids’ Meals. We will have collection bins in Sumners Hall.

There's Still Room To Join the Party!

Monday, July 29 – Thursday, August 2, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
