All women who consider St. John the Divine their church are a part of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW). The ECW plans outreach and fellowship opportunities for women of all ages. We encourage you to get connected with other women by participating in the ECW's programs and events and by volunteering your time and talents with us.
Their activities include:
- An annual Women's Retreat at Camp Allen with inspiring speakers, uplifting worship, and restorative retreat
- A fall luncheon, a Christmas luncheon, and a spring soirée honoring our priests
- Serving opportunities that benefit our local mission partners in coordination with the GO ministry of St. John the Divine
- New member dinners to welcome parishioners to St. John the Divine
- An annual Shrove Tuesday luncheon in cooperation with the women of St. Luke's United Methodist Church
- The annual Holiday Market to showcase arts and crafts

Women's Ministry Staff
The Reverend Louise Samuelson joined St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in 2017 and serves as its Associate Rector providing leadership to the church’s pastoral care, worship, and women’s ministries.
The Rev. Libby Garfield joined St. John the Divine in 2023. She holds and Master of Divinity degree from Nashotah House Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree from Sewanee: The University of the South. Prior to ordained ministry, she worked in youth ministry in Louisville, KY. She is a certified Level I Catechist with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

ECW Annual Christmas Tree Decorating

Join the Episcopal Church Women on Friday, November 21, from 9 am to 12 pm, as they begin the Advent season by decorating the trees at the front desk in the Administration Building. While decorating, you will learn about the handmade Chrismon decorations lovingly needlepointed throughout the years by the Episcopal Church Women.

Moms & Munchkins Playdate

Bring your little ones and join us for fellowship at a Moms & Munchkins playdate! We will have a coffee bar, refreshments for the moms, and playtime for the littles. Children from birth to age five are welcome.
