Go Outreach Staff
Fr. Trent holds an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary and an M.A. in Theology, along with a Certificate in Anglican Studies, from Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto. Before joining St. John the Divine, he had experience serving as a priest and missionary in Ethiopia and Egypt, a multi-point assignment in rural Northeast Texas, and St. Matthew’s Riverdale in Toronto. He is also trained as a Prepare-Enrich facilitator for pre-marriage and marriage counseling. He is married to Kira Moolman Pettit, and enjoys art, metal, and beekeeping.

Back-To-School Drive for Lamar Students

This summer, St. John the Divine is collecting supplies to help students at our neighbor, Lamar High School, begin the school year confident and prepared. Parishioners may shop for backpacks, uniforms, socks, and other essentials on our Amazon wish list or drop off your donations at the marked bins on campus.
Ascension Campus Care Work Day

As part of our growing partnership with Ascension Episcopal Church and School, we invite you to join us for a morning of service as we prepare the campus for the new school year. Volunteers are needed to power wash playground equipment, trim bushes and trees, pull weeds, spread mulch, and tackle other outdoor projects. We also need Safeguarded-certified volunteers to help supervise children while others serve.
Snack Shack Mondays

St. John the Divine will once again welcome Lamar High School students each Monday afternoon for a free snack, a friendly smile, and a place where they know they belong. Whether we're serving popcorn, hot chocolate, snow cones, or another favorite treat, our goal remains the same: to create a welcoming space where students feel seen, supported, and encouraged.
