Go Outreach Ministry
We believe God has called St. John the Divine to be a 'Light to the City' by living missionally beyond our walls.
The Go Outreach ministry supports and collaborates with community partners to serve adults and children in the Greater Houston area in the areas of housing, employment, education, nutrition, social services, and other necessities thanks to generous gifts of time, talent, and financial resources.
- You can get involved in serving our city through drives, service projects, foreign missions, and volunteer opportunities that support our many partners in Houston and the world.
- We offer financial assistance to organizations through a grant process directed by the Go Leadership Team, a small group of parishioners that serve three-year terms, in collaboration with the rector and vestry. We distribute 10% of all pledges and plate offerings to local and global partners.
- Our ongoing investment in Houston and beyond is our response to the grace of our baptism and the Church's ongoing work of redemption in the world — a living witness of the Good News of God's love as we know it through Jesus.

Go Outreach Ministry Staff
Fr. Trent joined the clergy staff at St. John the Divine in 2023, and was ordained in 2021. His discernment process and curacy took him to three different countries which deepened his heart for missions and the church’s catholicity. He is married to Kira Moolman Pettit, and enjoys art, metal, and beekeeping.

CCSC Family Service Day

At CCSC we believe families serving together is a catalyst for change in our community. On CCSC Family Service Day - parents and children will come together to pack hygiene kits for the struggling families who will visit CCSC’s Emergency Services food pantries in the coming weeks. This is a family friendly event, and all ages are welcome to sign up (link will be added closer to the event).
